The Storm!

Well the calm has definitely passed and we are now into the storm. I made it through the week of VBS with not too much stress thanks to our wonderful nursery coordinator. About half-way through the week I began to have the sniffles which I thought was just allergies but has now turned into what feels like pneumonia. Today I have felt the best so far since I got sick but I still can't breathe without massive doses of Mucinex and frequent use of an inhaler. We are into the BCP rehearsals every day now so there is no more sleeping late (which I secretly think is the reason I can't get over this crud.) Alyssa has a principle role in her play so I haven't wanted her to miss at all so I have been sucking it up and driving to Beaumont every day for that. Brianna is also in a play but they have not gotten their parts yet. Next on the agenda is Bri's birthday party this Saturday. I was supposed to spend the week spring cleaning the back yard/pool area but since I have been sick that hasn't happened. I was worrying about it but I finally decided that everyone who is invited knows me and knows I have been sick and knows I have good intentions and if they think there are too many weeds by my pool then they can leave the same way they came. The pool itself is crystal clear so maybe the reflection off of it will blind people to the mess around it. It really isn't that bad, we just usually trim the plants and pressure wash the concrete and weed eat the area around the sidewalk but this spring we were so busy with all the other stuff that it hasn't happened yet and we can't postpone the party because there is no other time to have it. So Bri will have her party, weeds and all, unless I have a miraculous healing before Saturday. (That's what I am praying for!) Maybe I should quit writing and go pull a few weeds now...at least until I start wheezing again!
